Utility Companies View Solar as Competition

It’s no surprise the mass migration from residents and businesses going to renewable energy such as solar is threatening the way utility companies charge for energy. Sadly and predictably, the state’s largest private utilities have asked the commission to end the state’s net energy metering policy because solar rooftops are deemed competition that threatens the century-old monopoly utility business model.


Don’t forget to contact your representatives and tell them you deserve the right to choose to be energy independent! We’ll be keeping a close eye on this.
