Strong Demand Strains Solar Supply Chain

Forbes announced today there could be a strain in solar wafers in 2016 due to the high demand in solar solutions. Legislation, incentives, and market adoption are driving factors to commercial and residential owners going green.


The total amount of solar capacity added in 2015 globally is projected to reach nearly 60 gigawatts (GW) in 2015, marking an increase of about 33% compared to the previous year. The rise in global demand is creating a potential bottleneck in the upstream segment of the solar industry.
